Monospaced Code Formatting in Skype

by ~kqr

At the office, Skype is the preferred method of text communication besides email. This is a natural consequence of working with amazing design people who aren't savvy enough to be using IRC, which I don't mind too much. However, it's long bothered me that I haven't been able to paste short code snippets and retain their indentation – however short the snippets are, they have to go in a paste service.

I did a bit of searching, and some people are mentioning that you can have pre-formatted code by leading it with {code} or something, but I found a much easier way by accident. Prefix it with !!.

It's that simple. If you start your message with two exclamation marks, all of it will be pre-formatted. Perfect for short snippets of code!
